Amen, sister. The Republicans figure that people will spend so much time talking about her gender and her personal life that they'll forget that her politics put her somewhere to the right of Pat Buchanan (who she once supported as President). But you can't really call her a token, because tokens don't get to be one infarct away from having their finger on the nuclear trigger!

@ dollyann - Yeah, historic choice my ass. First female vice presidential candidate ...on a GOP ballot. Geraldine Ferraro was the FIRST female vice presidential candidate on ANY ballot. Palin isn't historic so much as pathetic. She's the female Dan Quayle (have you seen her speak? She's not eloquent or interesting in the slightest).

What burns me the most is when people say, "Oh she is there to fill Hillary's shoes"....um HELL NO!!!! Palin would be lucky if she had a tenth of the intelligence, charisma, and perseverance that Hillary Clinton possesses. There is no comparison.

Thanks for the comment :-)

What do I have to say about Sarah Palin?

BLEUARGH!!! Sorry, did I vomit on your page? My apologies.

Most of what I feel you've got linked to up there (Wink* and thanks!), but this deserves repeating: If I hear one more person say they know nothing about Palin's politics but thinks she's hot, I will explode. And I will take everyone out around me. I must have seen five or six featured posts today on Wordpress with guys talking about how hawt she is. Good to see sexism is still well and alive!

Oh, and also... did you see the Yahoo News this morning? Apparently this was a "historic" choice on the part of McCain. As if Barack becoming the first African American presidential candidate or Hillary's hard-fought campaign weren't good enough... *more eye rolling*
